Education: the government announces a national consultation on guidance

The Delegate Minister for Academic Success and Vocational Education, Alexandre Portierannounced on Friday that a national consultation had been launched on guidance from December for decisions and recommendations expected in February.

The minister said in October that he wanted to “reset” the guiding policy for “Praise the professions much more”considering consulting in that regard “All guidance stakeholders (departments, national education, higher education, economic players, operators including Onisep – the National Information Office on Education and Careers, editor’s note)” and parent-teacher associations, said those around himAFP.

Two months of consultations

“Today, too many students and parents are confused by the options available to them during their education”said Mr. Portier when he visited the Education Fair in Paris.

Presented as a “Tour de France Guide” held in the 18 academic departments, this consultation will take place in December and January before the findings and recommendations are presented in February 2025.
