After four days of activities, the Tenth Edition of the International Conference of the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions of the Mexican Republic (ANUIES) concluded.
The event culminated with the purpose of establishing and undertaking actions that develop and strengthen higher education in Mexico. In the work sessions, participants reflected and analyzed the challenges of university governance and internationalization from a global perspective.
Likewise, the LXV General Assembly of the ANUIES unanimously ratified the approval of the National Council on the resolutions of the Regional Councils of the applications for entry into the Association of 28 new institutions.
At the closing, Luis González Placencia, general secretary of ANUIES, reiterated the commitment of the associated universities and higher education institutions and thanked the rector Carlos Natarén Nandayapa and the university community of the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH) for their hosting.
The presence of the rectors of the higher education institutions of our country stood out, as well as the international community that accompanied the work sessions.
Carmen Rodríguez Armenta, in charge of the Office of the Undersecretary of Higher Education of the SEP, celebrated the event that generates the guide to where the country’s higher education is going, ensuring that the university is transforming human beings and countries.
The rector Natarén Nandayapa explained that with the work carried out in these spaces for dialogue and exchange, bridges will be generated between educational institutions that invite them to continue transforming university environments.
Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño, rector of the University of Colima, invited attendees to participate in the ANUIES International Conference to be held next year at that university within the framework of the 85th anniversary of said institution.
