On a bright but cold day, the regional preselection for the 48th edition of worldskills in the “landscape gardener” category saw 11 pairs compete over the day within the grounds of the Marmilhat agricultural high school in Puy-de-dôme.
The objective of the day was to select 6 pairs.
The test consisted of creating a creation on the basis of a mirror plane during a given time and in a space of 15.70 m by 23 m. In the end, porcelain stoneware paving, paving stones, shrub beds with wooden borders, a small wooden bench and different plants were to make up this decor.
Based on a detailed scale, the judges were able to observe the work of the pairs. Beyond the final result, organization in working methods, teamwork, compliance with safety instructions, compliance with ergonomic requirements were taken into account.
The competition was intense. In the end, the gap is reduced between the first two pairs.
The preselections and regional selections are organized by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Orientation.
