For the first time, Jensen enjoyed the legendary gulai Bend street dish (gultik) in Blok M, South Jakarta. He was accompanied by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) CEO Vikram Sinha and journalist Najwa Shihab.

As seen from the video Najwa posted on her personal Instagram account, Jensen was wearing a simple t-shirt and black trousers. Najwa first said that she used to go to school in the Blok M area.

Najwa said that she often hangs out and eats gultik, because it tastes good and the price is cheap.

Jensen then said, “the aroma is very good”.

After being explained that gultik is a dish made of meat covered in a thick sauce full of spices, Jensen couldn’t wait to try it.

Jensen’s mood seemed cheerful when he tasted Gultik. “This is so amazing,” Huang said with wide eyes.

Najwa, Vikram, and Jensen then sat on a few chairs and tables, like the public eating gultik in Blok M.

Najwa asked if gultik was too spicy for Jensen. At first, the man refused Rp. But, in the end he was sweating so hot, then Najwa gave him a cloth.

The three looked friendly chatting as they enjoyed gultik on a sunny day. Separately, Vikram also shared this moment on his personal Instagram account.

“Enjoying Indonesian street food, gultik, while discussing the future of AI technology in Indonesia with Jensen Huang and Najwa Shihab,” Vikram said.

“This conversation gave me confidence in the potential of AI to open endless possibilities for the future of the country,” he said.

For information, Jensen’s arrival in Indonesia was to participate in the Indonesia AI Day 2024 event held by IOH at The Tribrata, last Thursday (14/11).

At that time, Jensen emphasized the importance of embracing AI to maximize potential and spur innovation. He also sat on a panel with BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and GoTo CEO Patrick Walujo.
