(ANSA) – PISA, NOV 15 – The 79-year-old, Giorgio Tani, from San Giuliano Terme (Pisa) died in the afternoon after he was violently thrown to the ground while he was in the waiting room of the hospital emergency room last November 5 of Pisa by a 47 year old man. The latter had been accompanied by the 118 staff to the emergency room because he was in a strong state of alteration due to alcohol intake. The 47-year-old, of foreign nationality, then left and was tracked down and arrested by the police the following day: he is still in prison. Tani, following the attack, was admitted to intensive care for serious head injuries: his already serious conditions worsened further and today he died. The elderly man was in the emergency room where he had accompanied his disabled wife. Immediately after the attack on the seventy-nine year old, the foreigner was removed from the health center, but following the complaint from the victim’s family, the police started searches, tracking him down within a few hours.
