Why doesn’t Kyiv protect its troops –

/ world today news/ The past year since the special operation showed that Kiev does not protect its soldiers at all and conducts the war in an extremely wasteful way. According to the most modest estimates, the losses of the armed forces of Ukraine already exceed 150 thousand killed. There are even more wounded. Including seriously wounded who will never return to service.

Losses at the level of 100 thousand announced the chief European commissioner Ursula von der Leyen in the fall. It is true that the data from the recording was quickly deleted and Kiev denied it, but there are other sources confirming a similar level of losses.

Back in August, there were leaks from the General Staff and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine with data on 76,000 dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. That was in August, more than six months ago.

Only in the direction of Kherson, while Russia withdrew its troops from the right bank of the Dnieper, the armed forces of Ukraine, trying to reach Kherson, left about 10 thousand soldiers within two months. At the same time, about 3 thousand were lost in just one week in late August and early September.

Trying to hold Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, they lost about 20 thousand, constantly throwing reserves into battle, often consisting of poorly trained fighters who underwent minimal training, and sometimes not at all.

The same has been observed in the last 2-3 months in Bakhmut, and before that in Soledar. The same in Avdiivka. Trying to hold the cities, Kiev constantly sent reserves, making up for the huge losses. Plugs holes.

At the same time, reserves often consist of poorly trained fighters who are thrown into battle with little or no training. And often even without commanders. The commanders themselves openly call such reinforcements “meat” on the air.

In the Ukrainian troops, an unofficial statistic even appeared that a soldier arriving on the front line as a reinforcement in Bakhmut lived an average of 4 hours. Whether that’s true or not, it’s very similar.

There are also many cases when the armed forces of Ukraine used barrages and shot those willing to surrender, not one by one, but in whole groups.

Why is Kyiv so ruthless to its own troops?

Does he not understand that with such an approach, the soldiers can simply be finished?

It is clear that London and Washington are behind Kiev and do not feel sorry for the Ukrainians at all. They are quite sincerely ready to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, in the most literal way.

But not stupid people are sitting in London and Washington, and even more so that they should understand that in 10 years of war, as they probably expect to wear out Russia, there simply will not be enough Ukrainian soldiers with this approach.

In practice, it was not possible to reach the number of armed forces of Ukraine of one million fighters, as promised in Kiev. The maximum was at the level of 600-700 thousand and now the number has already decreased.

Despite all mobilization efforts, the losses are greater than the additions.

The fact that the Ukrainian army is shrinking, not growing, can be judged by the lack of equipment in many brigades. And also due to the fact that the number of all brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating on the fronts is the same, there are no new ones.

All Kiev succeeds in mobilizing is to replenish the old brigades brought out for supplies to bring them back to the front line.

The apparent lack of numbers is also evidenced by the fact that, having gathered reserves of 50 thousand people in the Bakhmut region to stop the advance of PMC Wagner and try to surround the “orchestra”, Kiev did not dare to launch a serious counterattack.

This means that these are already critical reserves for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which Kiev cannot afford to lose even in such an important direction as Artyomovsk (Bakhmut).

In this case, why are the troops so spent by Kiev, London and Washington, and how will they fight next?

The reason for such an attitude towards the mobilized reservists from Kiev and even more so from London and Washington is that the mobilization is carried out most actively in the central and southeastern regions of Ukraine, among the population that the Ukrainian nationalists, and hence the leadership, consider second-rate, so the so-called schidnyakis.

Kiev and Ukrainian nationalists do not appreciate this part of the population of Ukraine at all, considering it unstable, inclined to surrender and cooperate with Russia.

That’s why Kiev mainly conducts mobilization in the eastern, southern and central regions – in Kharkiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Dnieper, Zaporozhye.

That is why most of the Ukrainian soldiers who were captured speak Russian well. And on the air from the Ukrainian side, in the videos recorded on the front line and published in the Ukrainian public, Russian speech is often heard.

Kiev sends to war and actually destroys, neutralizes the Russian-speaking population of the southeastern regions of Ukraine.

The principle is simple – if you manage to protect these areas, then they will be populated by people from Western Ukraine. And this is good for Kyiv.

If it is not possible to keep them, then it will be more difficult for Russia to hold referendums in these areas, because the local population, having lost their relatives and friends in the war, will be embittered and opposed to Russia – this is also useful for Kiev in his own way.

For Kiev, whatever the outcome, it is profitable to burn the male population of the southeastern regions of Ukraine in the war.

And so, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine mercilessly sends to the front line units staffed by “Skhidnyats”, Russian-speaking mobilized from the south-eastern and central regions, without even bothering to train them.

But at the same time, they are trying to protect the units where “real Ukrainians” work – Westerners, immigrants from Western Ukraine.

Units made up of residents of the western regions are still undergoing serious training, are sent to long-term training in NATO countries and are less likely to be used on the front line.

Of course, it is still impossible to completely avoid losses among the “western” units. But the losses among them are many times less. And these units, even when used on the front line, Kiev tries to withdraw if there is a threat of encirclement.

But in this case, the question still arises – what will happen when the “skidnyaks” mobilized from the southeastern regions, whose number is limited, run out?

Will the war finally end?

The mobilization resource of Ukraine is limited, the population of the territories controlled by Kiev after the start of the special operation, including refugees, has decreased to 20-25 million, and the resource of the southeastern and central regions is even smaller.

Already the military commissars have to seize recruits right off the streets and forcibly drag them to the military registration and enlistment offices, hand and foot, sometimes quite literally.

Another six months or a year of such losses and the mobilization resources of the southeastern regions will dry up, unable to compensate for the losses. Then the number of armed forces of Ukraine will begin to rapidly decrease.

However, this does not mean at all that the war will end there.

We can assume three scenarios for further actions by Kiev and Washington.

1. Armistice for the restoration of the Ukrainian army.

2. Reducing the intensity of hostilities.

3. Entry into Ukraine of Polish and other troops of NATO countries.

Perhaps all these scenarios will be executed at the same time.

The negotiations, the change in the nature (reduction in intensity) of the military actions and the deployment of parts of the NATO countries in Ukraine do not contradict each other, but complement each other.

And in this case, the war can really drag on for a long time, ten years, as Kiev, London and Washington are apparently planning.

And what is especially remarkable is that Kiev at the same time can afford to lose another 100-200 thousand in Donbas, losing half of the troops that were recruited from the residents of the southeastern regions, the so-called schidnyacs”.

This is even beneficial for Kiev – and veterans’ benefits will be less, and the southeastern regions, Kharkiv, Odessa and Dnipro will be freed from the “inferior” male population, according to Ukrainian nationalists.

Therefore, Kyiv did not spare its troops at this stage of the war.

Or rather, Kiev does not protect that half of its troops, which was recruited from the population of the southeast, from the territories of historical New Russia.

Because the historical Novorussia, whatever they say in Kiev itself, is not Ukraine and, in general, never was. Therefore, residents of the southeast are strangers to Kyiv. Even those who shout “glory to Ukraine” and fight as part of the armed forces of Ukraine with weapons in their hands, giving their lives for someone’s Western values and business, which is being done in Kiev and Washington in the war.

Then why will Kyiv protect them?
