In Mogilev, a pensioner created a disabled person’s ID for car benefits | Events

A resident of Mogilev tried to make money on the use of favorable customs of a car using a fake ID of a disabled person. About this reported in the Audit Committee.

In July in Mogilev, two strangers approached a 66-year-old local resident for help and offered to earn money. Assuming he had a disability that entitled him to benefits when cars were cleared to customs, they asked him to register a 2019 Mercedes-Benz E220D foreign car valued at $18,000.

The pensioner decided not to refuse the offer of easy money, even though he had a different disability group that did not qualify for benefits. He deliberately cut out the part of his certificate where the entry “third” was made and wrote “second” in his own hand, and then submitted the documents for registration. The employee who accepted these documents was suspicious of the authenticity of the ID. It was confirmed after a request to the medical center that issued the document.

The certificate has been sent for examination. His results confirmed that the document had been kicked. During the interrogation, the man admitted and explained to the investigator that he did not want the opportunity to get money. The 66-year-old’s actions are warranted under Part 1 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code (“Writing a document”).
