(Teleborsa) – Bearish session for the main stock exchanges of the Old Continent. Milan, on the other hand, holds its ground, positioning itself on the parity line, thanks to the leap of General after the publication of a better than expected new year’s reportthanks to the reduction in claims and the increase in prices which offset the 930 million euro impact due to natural disasters.
On the macroeconomic front, in September in United Kingdom industrial production surprised on the downside with a decline of -0.5% m/m, while preliminary GDP for the 3rd quarter recorded increases of +0.1% q/t and +1% y/y (less than expected ). In France the final reading of October’s harmonized inflation was +1.6% y/y (from +1.5% preliminary). In ItaliaOctober inflation was confirmed at +0.9% on year (shopping cart at +2%).
Last night the president of the Fed, Jerome Powelldescribed a US economy that is still very solid in the face of expectations of a gradual decline in inflation towards 2% and indicated that, on the basis of these assessments, the Fed can afford to act calmly in cutting rates.
The Euro/US Dollar continues trading with a fractional gain of 0.42%. Gold is essentially stable at 2,566.8 dollars an ounce. Widespread sales on petrolium (Light Sweet Crude Oil), which continues the day at $67.84 per barrel.
Slight decline in spreadwhich drops to +120 basis points, while the yield of the 10-year BTP stands at 3.56%.

Among them best Italian shares large-cap, effervescent Generali Insurancewith an increase of 5.42%. Good insights on Mediobancawhich shows a large lead of 1.73%. Moderate earnings for ERGwhich advances by 1.29%. Small steps forward for Pirelliwhich marks a marginal increase of 0.79%.
The strongest sales, however, occur at Interpumpwhich continues trading at -4.00%. In red STMicroelectronicswhich highlights a sharp decline of 1.89%. The negative performance of I connectedwhich falls by 1.56%. MPS Banking drops by 1.53%.
Among the protagonists del FTSE MidCap, GVS (+3,33%), Reply (+2,72%), Digital Value (+1,91%) e Alerion Clean Power (+1,85%).
The strongest sales, however, occur at MARRwhich continues trading at -5.68%. He goes down Technoprobewith a decline of 5.40%. Decline decided for Webuildwhich marks -2.72%. Under pressure Carel Industrieswith a sharp decline of 2.69%.
