University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Burgas will host a conference on Polish and Bulgarian electronic healthcare – 2024-11-15 10:22:00

The second day of the conference on “Polish & Bulgarian electronic health care – opportunities and prospects” will be held in Burgas. Polish telemedicine mission in Bulgaria”.

The event will take place in the Student Center of the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” and will bring together leading Bulgarian and Polish institutions, companies and experts who will share their experience and ideas on the implementation of innovations in healthcare.

The conference, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bulgaria, is part of a two-day forum whose purpose is to present the good practices and progress of the two countries in the field of telemedicine.

The focus of the event will be on digitalization in healthcare and opportunities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Poland in the implementation of telemedicine solutions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about innovations in health technology and discuss the future of eHealth.

The program of the event includes welcoming words from the rector of the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” Prof. Dr. Hristo Bozov, Mayor of Burgas Mr. Dimitar Nikolov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Bulgaria Mr. Maciej Szymanski.

Subsequently, modern applications of digital technologies in medicine will be presented, which will be commented on by leading Bulgarian experts, including Prof. Dr. Vladimir Gonchev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”. He will talk about the use of new technologies in practice and their contribution to the development of healthcare in the region.

Special attention will be paid to the application of telemedicine systems in outpatient care. Mrs. Maria Kumanova from the Municipality of Burgas will talk about the potential of telemedicine in the integrated health care of children, while Mrs. Valentina Stankova, director of Social Patronage in Burgas, will present how telemedicine can improve the quality of health services for the elderly and socially vulnerable groups.

In addition, the conference will include presentations by leading Polish companies in the field of telemedicine, such as ProPlus, Braster, SiDly, Technomex, Nestmedics and HigoSense. They will present the innovations they develop and offer to the market, with an emphasis on real solutions and technologies that can be implemented in Bulgaria and other European countries.

After lunch, the participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the first operational telemedicine kiosk in Bulgaria, located in Burgas.

This kiosk is part of the innovation projects of the Municipality of Burgas and plays an important role in the education of medical students, providing them with a unique chance to learn about new technologies in a real environment.

The conference will offer an excellent platform for the exchange of ideas and experience, as well as for strengthening cooperation between Bulgaria and Poland in the field of health technologies. The event will help the development of telemedicine as a key component of modern healthcare and will support efforts for digitization and innovation in the Bulgarian healthcare system.
