Adil Karimli met his Turkish counterpart

Within the framework of COP29, the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli met with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. From the Ministry of Culture ISAdil Karimli, who welcomed the guest, expressed his satisfaction with the participation of the fraternal Republic of Turkey in such a prestigious event.

Saying that successful cooperation has been established between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all areas of culture, the minister said that further development of relations in this area is expected.

It was noted that Azerbaijan’s first participation as an “honorary host country” at the 41st International Book Fair held in Istanbul from November 2 to 10 is a sign of the high level of relations between the two countries.

The minister thanked his Turkish counterpart for the high hospitality shown to the Azerbaijani delegation during the presentation.

Congratulating November 8 – Victory Day, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, pointed out that our country hosted an event as prestigious as COP29 at a high level.

He said that if Turkey accepts COP31, Azerbaijan’s experience in this field will be studied.

The host minister emphasized the importance of keeping environmental and cultural issues in mind within COP29.

During the conversation, the perspectives of cooperation between the two countries were mentioned in several directions, especially in the field of archaeological heritage and cinema. Also, Molla Nasreddin, who is supposed to be shot under the auspices of TURKSOY. There was also a discussion about the main film “Friend of difficult days”.

During the meeting, other matters of mutual interest were exchanged.

At the end of the meeting, commemorative gifts were given to the Turkish minister.

Later, the ministers got to know the pavilions of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan at the venue of the event.

The Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov also participated in the introduction to the pavilions of Turkey and Uzbekistan.
