The newspaper explained to its readers that it believes “resources could be better spent promoting” its journalism “elsewhere.”
“This is something we have been considering for some time considering the disturbing content that is frequently promoted or found on the platform, including far-right conspiracy theories and racism,” the publication argued.
The Guardian adds that the recent electoral campaign in the United States prior to the elections on the 5th, which Republican Donald Trump won, “only served to underline what we have long considered: that X is a toxic platform and that its owner “Elon Musk has been able to use his influence to shape political discourse.”
