Week 11 NFL: Eagles come back 26-18 against Commanders

The game corresponding to Thursday Night Football in week 11, between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles took place at Lincoln Financial Field. The Philadelphia Eagles began with a bad streak of missed field goals, and then came back in the fourth quarter.

Over the past week, the Eagles beat the Cowboys and the Commanders were defeated on their home turf by the Steelers.

The Eagles began with a field goal attempt, Jake Elliott missed it from 44 yards. The first quarter began with the Commanders opening the scoring with a touchdown run in the goal zone by Brian Robinson, in which there was a two-yard gain. The field goal was good by Zane González.

The Eagles tried to catch Commanders with a field goal, but missed again. It wasn’t until late in the second quarter that they got a 21-yard Jake Elliott field goal with only 19 seconds left.

The Commanders continue to extend the lead with a field goal from Zane Gonzalez, who converted from 45 yards to add points to the score, 3-10.

With 5:32 left in the third quarter, the Eagles continued to fight with field goals and again managed a field goal by Jake Elliott. They added 3 more points and the score ended in the third quarter at 6-10.

The Eagles got first and goal near the 1-yard line at the 12:08 mark, and finally took the lead with a rushing field goal, leaving the score 10-12. Jake Elliott misses the field goal again.

Saquon Barkley broke away and ran 23 yards to the goal zone. The score was 19-10 after the field goal was good.

Eagles take advantage of Commanders’ mistakes

Jaden Daniels gave the ball to the Eagles with an interception. He reached 7 intercepted passes in the NFL. They gave the Eagles the opportunity for their offense to continue breaking the chains. Jalen Hurts took advantage of the Commmmanders’ mistake and handed the ball to Saquon Barkley, who managed to increase the lead to 25-10 with a towchdown on the ground. The extra point was good.

Zach Ertz achieved a 5-yard pass in the red zone, adding points to the score, leaving it 26-16, and two more points were added with a two-point conversion.

Commanders missed a touchdown while the clock was against them. With an incomplete pass out of bounds, the Commanders blew their chance to tie the game.
