Introducing the leader of the Republican Party at the America First Policy Institute gala held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Thursday, November 14, the actor from the “Rocky” saga made praise of the President-elect of the United States.

Sylvester Stallone has bluntly compared Donald Trump to George Washington, the founding father who served as the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797.

“I’m just going to say this – and I mean it – that when George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world. Because without him, we can imagine what the world would be like. Guess what? We have the second George Washington. Congratulations!” he declared.

“I love mythology”

Furthermore, Sylvester Stallone compared Donald Trump to his iconic character, Rocky Balboa. He recalled the opening image of the 1976 film, which cuts from a painting of Christ to Rocky getting punched in the gym…

“At that point he was a chosen person and that’s how I started the story. Something was going to happen, this man was going to transform and change lives. Just like President Trump,” continued, without laughing, the 78-year-old actor and director. “We are in the presence of a truly legendary character. I love mythology. And this individual does not exist anywhere else on this planet. No one in the world could have achieved what he managed to do, so I’m impressed.”

After this dithyrambic introduction, Donald Trump took the stage and shook hands with Sylvester Stallone.

Before this astonishing intervention, the star of the series “Tulsa King” had remained discreet regarding her political opinions. However, in a 2016 interview in “Variety”, Sylvester Stallone revealed that he “loved” Donald Trump and considered him a “great Dickensian character”.
