Unspeakable mourning and anger make up the atmosphere prevailing in the exodus procession of the bereaved Dora in the holy church of Agios Ioannis, in Dokimi Agriniou, who was killed by her 30-year-old ex-partner.
The parents and siblings of the unfortunate woman are tragic figures, as reported by agriniopress. Meanwhile today the 30-year-old is expected to be brought before the investigator.
The fateful date
The Domestic Violence Office of the Police in Agrinio had regular contact with the 43-year-old (after the episode they had in September and for which the perpetrator would be tried on November 15).
Dora was sure that she would finally be able to convince him to leave her alone and she didn’t think she was in any danger. The 30-year-old, however, was a man who was “hooked” on her and could not stand the idea of separation, reports agriniopress.
Thus, this appointment took place on Papagianni Street, but the perpetrator was determined about everything. After sitting down next to her he pulled out the gun and shot her point blank. The bullet entered the abdomen from the front and right and exited from the back and left, causing irreparable damage to vital organs.
Immediately after, the 30-year-old opened the door and disappeared. The passenger door remained open and that’s how the police found it afterwards.
Dora also got out of the driver’s seat and was staggering for help. The first person to see her was a female police officer, who asked her what happened and Dora replied that she had been shot. The policewoman called 100 at 19:35. Around that time the 30-year-old called his sister Vasiliki and told her what he was doing. The unfortunate woman meanwhile was on the tarmac to be picked up by an ambulance. Before losing consciousness, she named the assailant.
