Regional league team SK Kelheim I draws against Bavaria Regensburg II – Kelheim II scores a landslide win

For the first three SK Kelheim teams, the third round of the 2024/25 season brought one win, one draw and one defeat.

Teams I and II each played home games against representatives from SC Bavaria Regensburg. Team three was required at TV Parsberg. The conditions were optimistic: because there were hardly any sick reports, no major personnel changes from bottom to top were necessary. In the Dormero, Team I, consisting of Constantin Blodig, Martin Kreuzer, Stephan Gießmann, Bernhard Schmid, team captain Florian Gold, Helmut Kreuzer, Cornelius Mühlich and Heinrich Maurer, took on SC Bavaria Regensburg II, which had two top players from the team for this matchday Oberliga team had strengthened.

Schmid, Gold and Kreuzer contributed fully, Mühlich and Maurer contributed to the 4:4 draw. With the draw, the first team remained undefeated in the Regionalliga Nord-Ost and finished fourth in the ten-team relay with 4:2 points.
With Max Fuhrmann, Laura Sophie Bauer, Johannes Müller, Johannes Najjar, Martin Blodig, team captain Eva Engl, Holger Seidenschwarz and Valentina Neumeier, SK Kelheim II went into the race for the first time with over 1900 DWZ Schnitt strong against the also top-class SC Bavaria Regensburg III. After a draw from Seidenschwarz, Team II took the lead with victories from Müller, Neumeier and Fuhrmann as well as a draw from Engl.

With further points from Blodig, Najjar and Bauer, the Kelheimers managed a 7-1 victory. After two draws at the start of the season, Kelheim II also remained undefeated and took third place in the Upper Palatinate League (4:2 points).

SK Kelheim III has had a difficult time since being promoted to the district league due to the higher opponent averages. But the number of players required – eight instead of six players are required – does not simplify the situation. Peter Hahn, team captain Johannes Obermeier, Christine Grafl, Michael Gold, Arthur Sitnik, Boris Bondarenko, Marcus Reimann and Alexander Pickl competed away at TV Parsberg I. The team fell behind early on. With victories from Hahn and Obermeier and draws from Sitnik and Bondarenko, the team remained within striking distance.

Only a loss of points in the last game left Kelheim III deprived of the chance of a draw. The match was lost 3:5. Thanks to the opening success against co-promoter TSV Dietfurt from District League I, it is still enough for shared fifth place (2:4 points) in the midfield of the District League South.
