Artificial intelligence (AI) has been on everyone’s lips since the open source release of ChatGPT. AI has been used successfully for years in a wide variety of areas, such as security services, automation, medicine, education and automotive technology. What is new, however, is that with the open source principle everyone has access to this technology and can use it in everyday life.
Access to AI is now lower than ever before, so anyone interested can try out whether and how AI makes their own life easier. But how exactly do you use these programs, and do AI tools really offer useful uses for everyone? Or should we perhaps even fear them when we think about challenges like deepfakes or so-called “AI hallucinations”?
The DRK-Bildungswerk Bielefeld is dedicated to precisely these questions in two new training courses and shows how AI can be used efficiently by everyone. The aim is not only to have a say, but also to make AI usable through targeted knowledge building. In two practical workshops, participants gain a comprehensive insight into how the new technologies can be used for both text design and creative media projects.
The course “Everything about ChatGPT – How artificial intelligence is revolutionizing your text world”offers an introduction to the versatile functions of the well-known AI tool ChatGPT. In this three-hour workshop, participants will learn how to use ChatGPT to create blog articles, social media posts and emails. Great emphasis is placed on practical application: participants can take the first steps directly with their smartphone Find out how you can generate texts and develop ideas with ChatGPT.
A practical example shows how ChatGPT can also help in everyday life: Participants take a photo of the contents of their refrigerator and the AI suggests suitable recipes and creates a shopping list for the missing ingredients. This workshop provides an ideal overview of how AI can offer useful applications for everyday life and has the potential to revolutionize your own text world.
In the second course “Media and AI – Create visual and auditory masterpieces with artificial intelligence” The focus is on the possibilities that media-based AI offers for visual and auditory content. This three-hour workshop is also aimed at beginners and shows how AI creates impressive graphics, illustrations and even music – without expensive equipment or prior technical knowledge.
Participants learn how to generate visual content such as logos or marketing materials from simple text input. The design of professional AI-based avatars is also discussed here. The workshop provides a practical introduction to various AI programs, which are often available free of charge, and shows how the technology can already support creative work at the highest level.
The two courses led by Damian Gorzkulla offer a unique opportunity to try out the use of AI and better understand the technology. They take place at the DRK location on Falkstrasse in Bielefeld and are open to anyone interested – without any prior knowledge.
