/ world today news/ The civil initiative “Young doctors for new health care” requested with a declaration to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education that the associate degree of the deputy from GERB Lachezar Ivanov be checked. Last week, Ivanov was introduced as an associate professor at the Medical Faculty of Sofia University.
In their letter, the young doctors demand that an independent expert commission be created to check how Ivanov defended his doctorate. The document also notes that the lack of control over academic growth creates vicious practices and demotivates young professionals.
“As long as I am involved in politics, I do not plan to engage in teaching activities. I have been selected as an associate professor in the department of public health. I have a doctor of sciences since 2009, I have passed through VAK”, Lachezar Ivanov told BGNES.
