Inventive cuisine, welcoming surroundings and low prices: this is the always winning recipe for bistronomy. Demonstration in five new addresses in Lille.
The most gourmet: Pulp
The place. After a career strewn with stars (Troisgros, Coutanceau, Astrance, Taillevent or Toutain), the couple, Clémence Taillandier (in the kitchen) and Philippe Platel (in the dining room), wanted to open their establishment on a human scale in Old Lille. Mosaics on the floor, velvet benches and refined furniture have transformed this former pizzeria into a place that is both intimate and accessible.
The plate. Clémence offers a short menu where everything is desirable. And this, from the aperitif suggestion: bouquet shrimp flambéed in cognac to lick your fingers or a seasonal pâté en croute. The young chef revives the classics with bold condiments: leeks in vinaigrette and pickled trumpets or raw scallops, miso cream and citrus fruits.
