Pd meeting in the Region, Orlando dictates the line (and could remain) – Primocanale.it

The first one was good. That of Democratic Partywho met in via Fieschi for a meeting (introductory, even if they already know each other well) between the elected and re-elected councilors. New and old dem representatives took part in the meeting: Armando Sanna, Davide Natale, Roberto Arboscello and Enrico Ioculano (already present in the last legislature ndr), to which were added the new entries Katia Piccardo, Federico Romeo, Simone D’Angelo and Carola Baruzzo.

Start from the themes

At the center – the party staff say -, issues related to health, work, environment, territory were addressed, on which the group’s political activity will focus “for a region that looks to the interests of all Ligurians and not just those of a few.” At least not officially there has been talk of dividing roles, which in the regional council are three: the vice-presidency of the council, the group leader of the Democratic Party and the deputy group leader. For the former, Armando Sanna is outgoing, thanks to the over 8 thousand preferences obtained, but will have to contend, from what is rumoured, with Katia Piccardo and Roberto Arboscello. For the role of group leader in the regional council, the quotations of the regional secretary Davide Natale are very high. In the background Simone D’Angelo, metropolitan secretary of Genoa, who has officially announced that he will leave the city council (Victoria Canessa is ready to take her place ndr), and who immediately reiterated his intention to undertake the new adventure as a “simple” regional councilor. The climate that reigned in the rooms of the Democratic Party was at least apparently serene, there was talk of opposition and method, waiting for the challenge to become official, starting from November 26th. Date on which the first regional council should take place.

Andrea Orlando speaks as opposition leader

Orlando attacks Bucci, signs of staying in Liguria

Present, via video link, was MP Andrea Orlando, who spoke directly from Madrid, where he is taking part in the “International Labor Congress, towards an International of Work” organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy of the Government of Spain . Orlando did not dissolve his reservations regarding whether or not he would remain in Liguria, but spoke as opposition leader, calling for strong political action immediately. “It is necessary to give ourselves a method, focusing on the key themes (those that were brought forward in the electoral campaign ndr)”, would have addressed the dem Orlando troop. The former minister, once taking part in the first regional council, will have a month to decide whether to stay or give up the place (to the non-elected candidate Cangiano ndr). In short, the Democratic Party and the opposition could find the gift, or not, of Andrea Orlando under the Christmas tree.
