AADE started accepting applications today on the digital platform MyHeating for the heating allowance for the winter season.
Applications can be submitted until December 6 so that 60% of the grant will then be paid.
In the myHeating platform, of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, you have the possibility to:
- submit an application for inclusion in the Register of Beneficiaries of the Heating Allowance for internal combustion heating oil, other fuels or electricity,
- state the thousands of heating costs among the tenants of an apartment building.
For other fuels (natural gas, LPG, firewood, biomass – pellets, thermal energy through district heating, lighting oil “blue kerosene”), apart from heating oil and electricity, you can submit details of the documents.
The steps for the heating allowance
- I choose whether I live in a single-family house or a multi-family house (applies only to the case of internal combustion oil heating).
- I choose whether I am an owner or a tenant, so I fill in the VAT number of the owner/grantor (it only applies to the case of internal combustion heating oil).
- I choose fuel type
- I fill in the Power Supply Number
- I choose a settlement
- I fill in the sq.m. of the residence
- I fill in the IBAN account number in myAADE through the Register & Contact platform.
More winners of this year’s heating allowance will be those who choose electricity for heating as they will receive more support while the maximum amount of the allowance increases to 1,200 euros from 1,000 euros in the 2023-2024 season.
In particular, the allowance for the use of electricity will be 20% higher than the allowance for the use of oil or other forms of fuel, while there will be a bonus of an increased allowance, which, however, will not exceed 1,200 euros for very cold areas.
The heating allowance will be paid in two installments. One in December at 60% of the projected total subsidy based on the cold data (degree days) per region of the previous winter season and one in April with the payout re-weighting the subsidy data based on the new winter season data.
Basis of calculation
The basis for calculating the heating allowance will be set at 300 euros from 350 euros last year and will fluctuate depending on the region. For pellets it will be 360 euros from 350 euros last year, while in mountainous areas where a subsidy is given for firewood it will remain at 350 euros.
Electric current
The base allowance for electricity will be 380 euros and will fluctuate depending on the temperature per region, while last year the base allowance was 350 euros and with the special rates it ranged from 45 euros to 480 euros for mountainous areas.
The income criteria
Income criteria remain unchanged while asset criteria change.
- Their annual total family income, regardless of its source, real and assumed, amounts to up to 16,000 euros for unmarried and 24,000 euros for married which is increased by 5,000 euros for each child. For a single-parent family, the aforementioned income amounts to 29,000 euros, which is increased by 5,000 euros for each child after the first.
- The value of real estate cannot exceed 200,000 euros for a single person, 240,000 euros for a married person and is increased by 40,000 euros for each child. This means that for a family with one child the limit is set at 280,000 euros, for two children at 320,000 and for three children at 360,000 euros.
