Greece – England: Umbrellas, lasers and… drones are prohibited – Instructions for fans at OAKA –

OAKA will be packed in tomorrow’s top derby between Greece and England (21:45). The EPO issued a notice stating what sports fans are not allowed to have in their possession.

“The National Team is a national affair! The fan response to the big Greece-England game on November 14 at OAKA (21:45) was unparalleled, with tickets selling out in less than 24 hours. In the full Olympic Stadium, let’s respectfully support our National Team by faithfully following the instructions.

The match against England will set a record attendance for a national team match at OAKA after the 2004 Olympic Games and the Federation thanks all those who, with their enthusiasm and passion, will turn it into an unforgettable football experience.

As many as we are at the stadium, let’s respect the football celebration in the packed Olympic Stadium and respectfully support the National Team, faithfully following the instructions of the security personnel, who will be on site to serve you.

For the orderly arrival of all fans to the stadium, a necessary condition is the timely arrival and occupation of the seat indicated on your ticket. We draw your attention to the fact that the entrances and stairs of the platforms remain empty and free.

For this reason, the gates of the Olympic Stadium will open at 19:00.

It is emphasized that fans who are not ticket holders are expressly prohibited from approaching the stadium. All fans, who have secured a ticket for the match, must ensure that they have an original ID or other legal document such as passport and diploma and carry it with them, as identity checks will be carried out.

In addition, fans are advised to have their tickets downloaded to their mobile phone for ease of checks.

The use of lasers and the lighting of torches is prohibited. Anyone who violates the express prohibition will suffer the legal consequences.

List of items prohibited to enter the facility:

-Only National Team shirts, scarves and insignia are allowed on the pitch and anyone wearing club insignia will be denied entry.

-Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes and tobacco products is not allowed inside the stadium.

– Water bottles are not allowed inside the stadium. Water will be sold inside the facility and will be available to all fans.

Also strictly prohibited:

a) bags larger than A4 (210 mm x 297 mm x 210 mm).

b) weapons of any kind or anything that could be adapted for use as a weapon (including umbrellas).

c) bottles, jugs or cans of any kind, as well as other items made of plastic, glass or any other fragile material, except for items required for documented medical reasons.

d) fireworks, flares, smoke powder, smoke bombs or other pyrotechnics.

e) containers for spraying gases, corrosive/flammable substances, paints or containers containing substances harmful to health.

f) face coverings, helmets, full face and ski masks.

g) laser devices.

h) drones.

i) food of any kind, except for items required for documented medical reasons.

j) alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating, dangerous substances, except for substances required for documented medical reasons;

k) any offensive, racist, xenophobic, sexist, religious, political or other illegal/prohibited material, including propaganda that promotes discrimination.

l) any advertising, commercial items or materials, including banners, signs, symbols and leaflets.

m) flexible flagpoles exceeding 1 (one) meter in length and 1 (one) cm in diameter.

n) banners or flags larger than 2.0 (two) x 1.5 (one and a half) meters. Smaller flags and banners may be permitted, provided they are made of materials considered non-flammable and comply with local code requirements. All banners or flags larger than 2.0 (two) x 1.5 (one and a half) meters are only permitted with a written request confirmed by UEFA or EPO.

o) electronically, mechanically or manually operated sound emitting devices such as loudspeakers.

p) professional cameras and video cameras or other professional audio and video recording equipment and all devices used for the purposes of transmitting or disseminating any infringing content. Amateur equipment for private use will be accepted.”
