Alabai attacked and bit two residents of Transbaikalia in a parking lot in Borza. The incident occurred on October 27, 2024. This was reported by ChitaMedia news agency with reference to Chita.ru.
According to one of the victims, the dog appeared in the parking lot in the summer. Before that, she was sitting in a closed garage, but recently she was put on the territory. Moreover, the animal was not on a chain, it was simply tied to a pole.
“We didn’t even have time to get to the car, as soon as we entered the gate, took a few steps, and she pounced on us (…) First the Alabai pounced on me, then on my sister. When the dog knocked my sister down, the watchman drove her away. If If it weren’t for him, we definitely wouldn’t have been able to escape. The watchman took the dog away and locked him up,” says the woman.
After the attack, the victims called an ambulance. They were given first aid and hospitalized in the Borzinsky Central District Hospital. There, one of the women received stitches. After their removal and treatment of skin necrosis, the Transbaikal woman will need plastic surgery, since the wounds are extensive and serious. The woman’s 38-year-old sister suffered a broken arm.
Transbaikal has already filed a statement with the police. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that they sent materials to the regional State Veterinary Service to further bring the dog’s owner to justice.
