ORENBURG, November 13. /TASS/. A concert orchestra of wind instruments with the participation of soloists of the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic presented the program “The Centenary History of Mosfilm” in Orenburg. Songs and melodies from films familiar to many were performed from the stage in a pop-jazz arrangement, a TASS correspondent reports.
The concert program in Orenburg included a vocal and instrumental medley to music from Soviet and modern films. Famous Donetsk musicians, laureates of international jazz competitions – Nikolai Bobrovsky, Kristina Ushanova, Valeria Valyavskaya – were responsible for the vocal part. Also taking part in the concert was the soloist of the regional philharmonic society – Honored Cultural Worker of Orenburg Georgy Avdeev.
“Our friendship with the Orenburg Philharmonic began in 2018, when a delegation of the Orenburg Philharmonic came to us at the Donetsk Philharmonic and we had a joint concert. Thanks to Rosconcert, we continue our friendly communication, cultural interaction, which is very important in the present time,” said the deputy General Director for Concert Work of the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic Dmitry Karas.
The idea of the program, according to the chief conductor and artistic director of the Donetsk Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Mikhail Martynenko, was born in connection with the anniversary of Mosfilm. The most popular Soviet comedies were selected, and a medley was written on their basis, which included both songs and musical compositions.
“This is music that the listener loves, we work for people. Moreover, in our difficult times, especially here in Donetsk, people are strong in spirit, patriotic, but want to listen to ordinary human music, to escape from everyday life, shelling and everyday problems,” – says Martynenko.
With this concert program, the orchestra and soloists of the Donetsk Philharmonic have already traveled to ten cities of Siberia. On November 12, a concert took place in Orsk, where the audience, according to the artists, sang along with the vocalists, received the jazz arrangements of many well-known compositions with a bang, and more than once asked the musicians for an encore. After Orenburg, concerts will be held in cities of the Chelyabinsk region and Bashkiria.
