The new Xbox adventure will arrive in 2025.
After discovering a small teaser for South of Midnight last week, Xbox has published an extensive documentary about Compulsion Games’ next adventurefocused on the team that “weaves Hazel’s journey.”
You can take a look at this great documentary under these lines, which reviews some of the main inspirations for South of Midnight and the game’s locations in the southern United States. It’s a pleasure to have new footage of this game ahead of its release next year, and the development team seems very happy with what they’re creating with South of Midnight.
Music is also an important part of this unique experience for Xbox and they have already South of Midnight “Art & Music” pre-orders launched. Here’s an introduction to the art and music collection:
“Compulsion Games has announced a special South of Midnight product in collaboration with Dutch publisher and design house Cook & Becker. The box set includes a 160-page art book, a two-LP vinyl with the game’s complete soundtrack, a comic by award-winning artist Rob Guillory, and a Big Game Tours refrigerator magnet featuring an alligator and a rubber boat.
Interestingly, this edition has a planned release date of April 30, 2025which could indicate that Xbox also plans to release the game. Of course, the South of Midnight’s release date is still not confirmed in any way and all we know is that it will arrive on Xbox Game Pass in 2025.
