Rapid developments in SYRIZA. After the tumultuous first day of the conference, Evangelos Antonaros announced his resignation from the party in a midnight post on Facebook.
“I am not willing to ‘go along’ even for a minute with the party coup plotters who today completed their planned crime against the democratic processes,” he says, among other things, in the post-resignation.
And he adds: “They are miserable and deplorable writing today the blackest pages of the post-colonial era. I remain steadfastly committed to the principles of democracy and progress for the benefit of society as a whole”
“We look ahead with optimism for the future!”, he concludes.
