Alpine is a racing team in crisis. However, the driver duo Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly catapulted the team to sixth place in the constructors’ championship with second and third places at the Grand Prix in Brazil at the beginning of November.
Last year, Alpine sold 24 percent of the team to a group of investors including actor Ryan Reynolds, golfer Rory McIlroy and American football star Patrick Mahomes for 200 million euros.
From 2026, new regulations will apply in Formula 1 with an increase in the proportion of electrical power to 50 percent and the introduction of 100 percent sustainable fuel. Then the era of Renault ends after 50 years in Formula 1.
