streets in downtown Angers closed to traffic

The 5th edition of the Trail de l’Apocalypse will take place on Saturday November 16 in Angers (Maine-et-Loire). This evening “urban trail” will begin with the Apocalypse Jeun’S at the Josette-et-Roger-Mikulak stadium at 7 p.m. with a race reserved for young U14s and U16s.

At 8:45 p.m., the participants of the Apocalypse Sprint for a distance of 6 km through the streets of the City of Angers. Participants from the traditional Trail of the Apocalypse over a distance of 10 km.

Some streets in downtown Angers will be closed to allow runners to pass from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The list of streets closed to traffic

Closures in the Jeanne-d’Arc and Mail sectors:

  • rue André Gardot (section between Square Jeanne-d’Arc and rue Franklin, closing from 9 a.m.)
  • avenue Jeanne-d’Arc (section between rue du Quinconce and rue Louis-Gain)
    boulevard de la Résistance-et-de-la-Deportation
  • rue David-d’Angers
  • rue du Mail (section between rue Chevreul and rue Boisnet).

Closures in the city center:

  • rue Grandet, Alsace, Cordelle, Lenepveu, Pocquet-de-Livonnières, Guépin, Saint-Etienne, des Aix, de l’Espine, Saint-Laud, Bodinier, Valdemaine, des Deux-Haies, Jeanne-Moreau, Claveau
  • Passage des Cordeliers
  • place du Ralliement (the exit from the parking lot remains open because it is cut off at the intersection of rue du Mail and rue Chevreul to let cars pass)
  • rue des Cordeliers (section between rue Lenepveu and rue Cordelle)
  • place du Pilori
  • rue du Canal (section between rue Saint-Etienne and rue du Cornet)
  • rue du Cornet (section between rue du Canal and rue des Aix)
  • rue Parcheminerie (section between rue de la Roë and rue du Mail)
  • rue de la Roë (section between rue Parcheminerie and place du Ralliement)
  • rue Plantagenêt (section between rue Chaussée-Saint-Pierre and rue Bodinier, the exit from the Fleur d’Eau-Les Halles car park remains open)
  • Place Mondain-Chanlouineau.

Closures in the Cité sector:

  • rue Saint-Christophe, du Vollier, Saint-Paul, Donadieu de Puycharic, Saint-Aignan, des Filles Dieu
  • Place du President Kennedy (section between rue du Vollier and rue Saint-Evroult)
  • Bout-du-Monde promenade.

  • exit ramp from the Basse-Chaîne bridge (towards the Le Quai theater)
  • boulevard du Bon Pasteur (section between boulevard Gaston-Dumesnil and avenue Yolande-d’Aragon).
