Tuesday afternoon, in the Villemade village hall, a very friendly choir performed for two hours of singing, dancing and humor in all simplicity. The colorful, dancing Friends of Song show thrilled the large audience. This choir comes from Lisle-sur-Tarn and is made up of retirees who are passionate about singing and dancing. It also offers entertainment for parties, weddings or other ceremonies to give joy. Its show is nourished by the inspiration of its members, their travels and their fantasies. Nothing is left to chance, rehearsals are done with rigor and with repeated choreographies. The repertoire is French, which makes the audience want to sing. In the room, a warm, happy, dancing atmosphere. “They are fantastic! And with so much energy!” exclaimed a lady in the audience. It’s true that, from the start, the tunes are catchy, and the colorful costumes give a festive air. Everything is well sung and danced.
This troupe has existed for around thirty years, they are professionals now because they manage to share emotions, dreams, and take us on a journey.
At intermission, for pancakes, coffee, drinks, the troupe mixes with the public to offer their DVD.
The second part of the show is still a hodgepodge of humor, songs, dances. It’s almost Christmas before time!
Congratulations to the organizers of this afternoon of music where, for a few hours, the Friends of Song also became friends of the public for the duration of a show.
