His car almost became a metal coffin – Driver may have been saved because there was a sunroof
Shocking footage from a body camera worn by Phoenix police officers in the US shows the dramatic rescue of a man trapped inside a submerged car in a swimming pool last month.
Witnesses called the Phoenix Police Department after they saw a man drive his SUV into a pool just after 2 a.m. on Halloween.

When officers who responded to the call arrived, they fell into the pool, climbed onto the roof of the car and began hitting the sunroof with a crowbar, according to body camera footage released by local police on Tuesday.
Officers eventually break the glass sunroof and the driver, who is wearing a work vest, is eventually rescued. He appears to be congratulating the officers for saving his life.
The driver, who may have been saved precisely because of the sunroof, was taken to a Phoenix area hospital as a precaution.
