/Poglede.info/ Yesterday in Beijing, Wang Yi, member of the Politburo and head of the Foreign Relations Office of the CCP Central Committee, and Qing Gan, member of the State Council and Foreign Minister of China, held separate meetings with Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa.
Wang Yi stated that the current Sino-Japanese relations generally remain stable despite the episodic disruptions that occur. The main reason for these unrest is that certain forces in Japan are deliberately following the wrong policy of the United States against China and cooperating with Washington in order to provoke problems affecting China’s core interests.
During their meeting, Qing Gan said that peaceful coexistence and friendly cooperation is the only right choice for the development of bilateral relations. “In conditions of contradictions and differences, the formation of camps and the imposition of pressure will not help to solve the problems, but on the contrary – will only deepen the estrangement between the two countries,” the Chinese foreign minister emphasized.
Hayashi Yoshimasa, for his part, pointed out that Japan-China relations have a huge potential for development. Japan is ready to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, to uphold the four political documents between the two countries, and to promote the building of constructive and stable Japan-China relations.
