In practice, whether the car is new or used, you have to pay an additional amount.

With the aim of encouraging her citizens to buy green cars and therefore no longer focus on vehicles that produce a lot of CO2, this tax is not a fixed annual tax, unlike the big tax (which affects on polluting vehicles). In short, you don’t have to pay it from year to year, but only on time of the purchase or if a change of ownership.

This already It applies to vehicles that produce emissions greater than 160 g/km of CO2, ie 160 grams of carbon dioxide per km.
