/ world today news/ “The BSP must assert its role as a first-rate political force, which will give it the prospect of fighting for the governance of the country.”
This was stated by BSP deputy chairman Yanaki Stoilov in the program “More of the Day” on BNT. According to him, the party should not allow a retreat in the local government. “The BSP is the first party that offers concrete commitments in the area of employment and people’s income, affordable health care, education, as well as in finding jobs,” he said categorically. Stoilov also said that the BSP will insist that the people it nominates for the local elections declare their sympathy to the citizens with the policy drawn up by the party.
“We have to break this trend of losing voters. BSP should not make compromises with what identifies it to the people and what makes it a different party, examples of which were repeatedly shared in our positions regarding domestic and foreign policy,” said Stoilov. He was adamant that this must be proven in the upcoming local elections.
No one takes away the possibility of renewing the BSP
According to the deputy chairman of the BSP, the party should not show any extravagance in order to make changes. “The session of the congress had many important tasks, which were almost completely solved with the adoption of our political declaration”, he commented. Regarding Kiril Dobrev’s proposal for the mandate, Stoilov was adamant that it takes time for a professional to be built as such. “In politics, in addition to knowledge, experience and general culture are required. It is not a business. If someone thinks that everyone should benefit for two or three terms and then others will come, then, on this occasion, the chairman of the party himself said: “we are not talking about a ferris wheel, on which everyone can ride, look down , and then the next ones go up”, explained Stoilov. The Deputy Chairman of the BSP was adamant that the possibility of renewal in the party is not being taken away. He cited as an example the decision by which 20% of its electoral bodies will be guaranteed for young people.
We must not allow division and opposition between the EU and Russia
Yanaki Stoilov also said that one of Bulgaria’s great troubles are the politicians who do not defend the national interests, but serve the political situation and the politics of other countries. “We must not allow division and confrontation between the EU and Russia. We must not allow Russophobia, or the servile policy pursued by the president and the government, which creates more and more risks for Bulgaria to be drawn into an international conflict”, stressed Stoilov.
