A revolutionary idea for a change in the elections was launched by the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov. He wants the paper ballot abolished.
“The political model has run out, it’s a colonial model. You catch the worst of a community – incompetent and failed and it installs itself at the top of the Bulgarian political pyramid. We “Vazrazhdane” are constantly growing in an extremely hostile environment and if the media environment was not owned from the American embassy, ”Vazrazhdane” would rule,” Kostadinov said in an interview with BNR.
He commented on the political crisis: “The world is changing and if we continue in the exhausted political model we will reach a national catastrophe. We must change the model and return to a sovereign state and a Europe of sovereign states, rebuilding the economy, army, education, healthcare.”
Kostadinov announced that his party has prepared changes to the Electoral Code, which will be submitted to the National Assembly next week. “The most important thing is to eliminate the paper ballot, only machines, but only those with the role of printers. Neither the commission will interfere with writing on ballots, nor the machine will count by itself,” Kostadinov is convinced.
When asked whether President Rumen Radev, with his party, can change the political situation, Kostadinov commented:
“Until now, he had parties – PP and Bulgarian Rise, what is the result? The president rules, he had official governments and ministries? Who made the constitutional changes? The presidential party PP made them. Who explained, “we are with you, Mr. President”. Me or Kiril Petkov?”
