Mediatrends tells young people about Trump’s new America
It took place today, at Museum of the Risorgimentothe event “From voting to news. How the media describe the new America”. Organized by Mediatrendsthe first online magazine dedicated to innovation in communication, in collaboration with The Story Group – Born to tell you, a consolidated reality in the world of business communication founded by Diego Lifonti in 2007, the meeting involved over one hundred under 30s interested in understand how the media have influenced and will influence public opinion in America, and beyond.
The meeting saw the participation of Andrew Spannausjournalist expert in American politics and forerunner of the rise of Trump already in 2016, and Paolo Messa, vice president of NIAF (National Italian American Foundation) and founder of the magazine Formiche, who with their analyzes and stories in the field discussed the nuances and the impacts of Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
Following, Carlo Castorina, director of Mediatrendstogether with Ludovica Taurisano, political communication researcher, and the editor-in-chief of Birdmen Magazine Nicolò Villani, have proposed an commented press review of the most significant articles on the outcome of the elections, starting from the international press up to our newspapers and TV.
At the end of the event, participants were able to visit the Museum of the Risorgimentowithin a path that links past and present, history and current affairs. “From the vote to the news. How the media describe the new America” is the demonstration that there is a curious, aware generation that does not passively accept what it reads, but wants to understand, explore, question.
