Next Wednesday 13 November 2024, at 12.00, at the IC “Falcone Borsellino,” students will have the opportunity to participate in a special event in which sport, education and mutual respect will be the protagonists. The meeting, entitled “School, Football and Fair Play,” represents an opportunity for our kids to dialogue with the players of ASD Castrumfavara, a team that plays in Serie D, and to explore how the values of fair play can contribute not only to their sporting growth, but also personal growth.
The event, coordinated by profs. Angelo Caramanno and Giuseppe Piscopo, will be introduced with greetings from the Headmaster Maria Vella, demonstrating the importance that the school attributes to these values.
Pietro Infantino, coach of ASD Castrumfavara, will share his experience and present to the kids the value of respecting the rules and the opponent as fundamental aspects for becoming not only good footballers, but also better people.
Alongside him there will be some of the Castrumfavara players. Lorenzo Mirabelli, Manuele De Min and Francesco Vaccaro, all defenders of the team, together with Adam Ouattara, striker, will offer personal testimonies on how football has helped them grow and better understand the concept of fair play. They will share their stories of sacrifice, commitment and collaboration, highlighting how important respect for teammates and opponents is.
The meeting will end with a space dedicated to questions from the kids, who will be able to ask the players and coach directly for anecdotes, advice and suggestions on how to deal with difficulties in sport and in life.
A meeting that promises to leave a positive mark on the kids, bringing them closer to the values of fair play and integration, fundamental not only on the pitch, but in everyday life.
The event is part of the collaborative relationship established for years between our Institute and the yellow and blue club, and which often sees our students, on Sundays, small fans in the stands thanks to the “Schools at the stadium” initiative.
