Ukraine has launched its biggest-ever drone attack on Moscow, with two airports in the Russian capital on alert.
Ukraine attacked Moscow and its suburbs with dozens of drones today, according to Russian officials, in the largest Ukrainian drone attack against the Russian capital to date.
Russia this morning shot down 70 Ukrainian drones flying over Russian territories, the Ministry of Defense reported on Telegram.
The Ukrainian attack targeted six regions of Russian territory, including Moscow, Tula, Bryansk, Kaluga, Ariol, and parts of Kursk, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Airports in Russia were closed
The Federal Civil Aviation Service of Russia (Rosaviatsia) reported on Telegram that “in order not to cause a problem with the safety of flights of civil aviation aircraft, temporary restrictions were imposed on the operation of the airports of Domontetovo and Zukovo.”
A temporary suspension of landings was imposed Sunday morning at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport following the drone attack, the Federal Civil Aviation Service (Rosaviatsia) reported on Telegram.
“To ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, temporary restrictions on the operation of Sheremetyevo Airport have also been introduced from 09:45 Moscow time [06:45 GMT] on November 10. The airport is temporarily not accepting or sending flights,” the statement said
Houses and cars on fire – 1 injured
One person was injured by the attack of the Ukrainian drones, as reported on his Telegram channel, the regional governor Andrei Vorobyov, while videos circulating show houses and cars engulfed in flames.

Ukrainian drones were spotted in #Ramenskoye, #Moscow oblast. Locals post videos of two drones shot down by the russia air defenses. It is not clear if there were more and whether they reached the intended target.

Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 62 of 145 Russian drones launched overnight, the Ukrainian armed forces announced today.
The Air Force of Ukraine announced that it had lost track of 67 drones, while another 10 were flying outside Ukrainian airspace in the direction of Russia, Moldova and Belarus.
