The swing state Arizona was a battleground in the US election. The results are now available there too – and they reinforce Trump’s triumph.
Washington – The final results of the US election are available: Donald Trump also won the swing state of Arizona in the US presidential election. The Republican thus won in all seven contested US states and significantly exceeded the number of at least 270 voters necessary for victory.

With the eleven electoral votes from Arizona, Trump’s total number increases to 312 electoral votes, while his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris has 226 electoral votes. The AP news agency reports this based on voter surveys and initial vote counts.
Arizona, once a safe Republican bastion, has become one of the crucial swing states in recent years. While Trump was able to secure Arizona’s electorate against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US election, in 2020 they went with a narrow lead to Democrat Joe Biden. But in the current election, Trump was able to win back the state, which underlines his comprehensive electoral success.

In addition to Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada were also among the crucial swing states, all of which Trump won.
