“We learn as we go along!” Alain Daziron, coordinator of the fortieth edition of the Larrazet Days, thus summarizes the particular difficulty encountered this year in the organization of this flagship event of regional cultural life on a new theme: “Medicine and health”.
This is a theme that the association is exploring for the first time. “We are entering into a foreign subject, which makes the challenge interesting because we oblige ourselves, we are in a situation where we take a step back while working through difficulty. On November 23 and 24, it will be the society which will question an often closed world.” The difficulty of this edition was to cover the history of care and medicine, as well as contemporary history and its current affairs. The opening of these days by the historian Joël Chandelier will, in this respect, be decisive… And therefore not to be missed!
“This edition is unique, and it’s a big problem, but a wonderful concern!”, specifies Alain Daziron, who makes a comparison with his professional origin: “Having a caregiver-patient meeting reminds me of teacher-parent meetings.” As such, the Saturday evening round table will focus on the testimonies provided on the core business of the speakers.
Sunday afternoon will allow us to exchange views on current events with, like the day before, a general introduction proposed by Bruno Falissard. The afternoon will end with an aspect that we talk about a lot, but often in counter conversation or in a television spot, and therefore very simplistic: the link between health and food.
The fact that it is a researcher who talks about it clearly shows that we are always in a situation of research and discovery about the contents of our plates.
See you for the start of these days on November 23 at 2 p.m., in the Larrazet village hall. Arrive early, the city is under construction!
