Merdzhanov stated that the leftist standards that have been set will be the basis for future policies in the local government and will have to be shared by all potential partners. “The BSP is returning to its true left-wing appearance, to strict fulfillment of the commitments made and closer to the people,” the party’s spokesperson said categorically.

Only with the creation and efforts of one body, this cannot happen”, he categorically stated. Merdzhanov emphasized that the main issue is the lack of justice and the lack of trust among Bulgarian citizens. He expressed hope that the requests to fight corruption will not remain only at the declarative level, but there will also be legislative steps.

Merdzhanov commented that whatever reforms are undertaken, no matter how large-scale they are, if staffing in the judicial system is not freed from party partisanship and corporate dependence, we cannot hope for any good steps.
