Weather: Invasion of a ball of cold air – The rains “lock” in Athens – Thessaloniki –

Rain and falling temperatures are forecast for the week ahead as the weather moves into autumnal instability. In fact, heavy rains are expected in Athens and Thessaloniki in the next few days.

In particular, the meteorologist, Giorgos Tsatrafillias, predicts “heavy rains” for a week, and thus the weather finally seems to be in line with the calendar that shows autumn.

Sakis Arnautoglou is also talking about a change in the weather, who notes that “attention is needed on Wednesday (13/11)” with significant rains – possibly even in Attica – and local strong phenomena, while Clearchos Marousakis has also predicted rains due to collapse of the anticyclone.

At the same time, the weather forecaster, Lefteris Soussos, is talking about an unusual winter rehearsal with a cold descent that will drop the temperature even in Attica and bring rain.

Sakis Arnautoglou: The rains will intensify on Wednesday, possibly also in Attica

In his forecast, the meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglou emphasizes that from Monday in the west of the country and mainly in the Ionian Sea, heavy rains will occur, while some phenomena will be manifested in the northern Peloponnese, Central Greece, perhaps Attica and central Macedonia.

In fact, on the mainland from noon onwards, snowfall is also expected on the mountain tops.

According to Sakis Arnautoglou, the phenomena will continue on Tuesday (12/11) mainly in western Greece, until the evening they will extend to the rest of the country, except for eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the Dodecanese.

On Wednesday (13/11), the weather phenomena will spread almost all over the country while it is expected to be particularly intense in places (mainly in Western Greece) and will even extend to Thessaloniki and Athens.

Tsatrafillias also “sees” rain, but not in Athens

According to the meteorologist, Giorgos Tsatraphyllias, the long-awaited rains will not come for many areas, including Attica!

“As we have reported this week, from Monday to Thursday, some rains will finally occur, which mainly in western Greece will be significant. However, in some areas it seems that the nightmare of rainlessness will continue (or no significant rains will occur).

“These are: Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, Evia, Attica, Thessaloniki, Boeotia, eastern and N/A Peloponnese, Cyclades, Dodecanese, northern and eastern Aegean, central and eastern Crete,” he says in his post.

• The temperature will rise slightly.
