Sarim receives the 2024 Sustainable Business Award for “Smart Leaf”.

The project Smart Leafborn from the partnership between SARIM (leader), THEIRS e MIRAS Energiawas awarded the Sustainable Business Award 2024 for the creation of an innovative public-private partnership project with BUT Romeroad and leaf sweeping, with the adoption of electric vehicles. This prestigious recognition, promoted by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and the Italian Exhibition Group, with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment, rewards projects that integrate eco-innovation and concrete results for sustainability.

Smart Leaf, whose commitment to reducing the environmental impact of public services has been particularly appreciated, introduces an innovative project finance model applied to environmental management and street sweeping services, conceived to respond to the needs of the city of Rome in view of the Jubilee. The project guarantees efficiency and sustainability in leaf recovery and waste management, reducing CO2 emissions thanks to the use of fully electric vehicles. The estimate is to save around 2,000 tonnes of CO2.
