This cinnamon roll style cake is the perfect recipe to treat yourself and save you time in the kitchen!

Christmas is fast approaching and it’s time to choose the dishes that will delight you during your festive meal. For dessert, we found a cinnamon roll cake recipe perfect to end this friendly moment in style.

In exactly 46 days, it’s Christmas. This is the perfect time to start choosing the dishes, as well as the dessert, that will make up your festive meal. To end the latter on a sweet note, we generally concoct a Christmas log.

But during our research on social networks, we came across an original preparation which can clearly replace this treat at this time of year. It’s a cinnamon roll style cake. This dessert takes typical Christmas flavors and is very easy to make.

It was the content creator aka @hungryconsti who made it on her Instagram account. His plus? This cinnamon roll style cake can also enjoy for breakfast or snack.

The ingredients

For the cake batter:

  • 3 eggs
  • 75 g de sucre
  • 150g melted butter
  • 75 mL of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 250g flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder


For the cinnamon mixture:

  • 60 g of soft butter
  • 40 g of brown sugar or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt


For assembly:

  • 100 g de Philadelphia
  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of milk

The procedure to follow to make this delicious cinnamon roll cake recipe at Christmas

For the cake batter:

Whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes pale and fluffy.
Add the previously melted butter.
Pour in the milk and a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Mix again using a whisk.

Sift the flour with a sachet of baking powder and gradually incorporate into the dough until smooth and without lumps.
Keep aside.

For the cinnamon mixture:

In another bowl, combine the soft butter with the brown sugar or sugar depending on your choice.

Add the cinnamon and a pinch of salt until well combined.

For assembly:

In a cake mold, place a third of the cake batter.

Place 3 spoonfuls of cinnamon filling, then use a skewer or stick to swirl the filling into the dough and create a marbled effect.
Repeat the operation twice.
Mix again using the skewer to create a marbled pattern.

Cook the mixture in an oven preheated to 180°C for around 40 minutes (the blade of the knife should come out dry when you pierce it).
Leave to cool.

For the icing:

Stir the Philadelphia, caster sugar and milk until smooth.
Pipe onto the cold cake.
