First course to train early childhood educators started

A significant step for the region and its future was taken on Saturday in Mölltal: The first course to train early childhood educators and childminders at the Herzog Personaltraining educational institution led by Wolfgang Herzog, head of the training company, has begun. The course offers the opportunity to receive in-depth pedagogical training on site and strengthens the educational landscape in the region. The training is supported by the municipality of Obervellach with Mayor Arnold Klemm and the municipality of Winklern with Mayor Johann Thaler. According to Mayor Arnold Klemm, it is time to implement measures. A total of 16 participants will receive comprehensive training in 430 teaching units and will also complete an internship. The units are divided into theory and practice, with topics such as sport, health, safety and child protection. The training lasts seven months and the courses take place twice in the evenings during the week and all day on Saturdays.

The initiative, initiated by Ursula Blunder (FamiliJa) and state parliament member Marika Lagger-Pöllinger, aims to create new professional prospects locally in the Mölltal and to strengthen women in rural areas. The part-time course with two evening sessions and a full-day Saturday session offers ideal conditions for work and family. Herzog Personaltraining, with over 23 years of experience in adult education, accompanies the participants throughout the entire training and thus ensures high training standards in order to create long-term prospects in the region. However, this is just the beginning: Further educational offerings are being planned in the Mölltal in order to sustainably strengthen the region and open up new professional opportunities locally.
