/ world today news/ There will be personal changes in the management of Kozloduy NPP. This was made clear by the words of Energy Minister Asen Vasilev during the meeting of the Public Energy Council in the MIET building. A competition will be announced for a new executive director of headquarters, who will replace Valentin Nikolov, Vassilev added.
During the council, representatives from the civil quota submitted a report to the Inspectorate of the Council of Ministers on an inspection carried out at the Kozloduy NPP, which the Ministry of Economy described as “very disturbing”. The investigation has been handed over to the state financial inspection and the prosecutor’s office.
It never became clear whether this was the reason for the change of the current director, Valentin Nikolov, or whether it was planned before the report was submitted.
Vasilev announced that changes have been initiated in 13 companies subordinate to the ministry, most of them in the field of energy. It is expected that there will also be changes in the Bulgarian Energy Holding, but Asen Vassilev refused to personally name the people who will be replaced. A total of 23 people will be laid off.
