Jorge Romero proclaimed himself along with his campaign team as the winner of this Sunday’s elections.
According to preliminary results, Jorge Romero has an overwhelming advantage of 80.6 percent compared to Adriana Dávila‘s 19.4 percent.
In a hotel in the south of Mexico City and in the midst of a festive atmosphere, with batucada and hundreds of militants, Romero’s triumph over his contender stood out.

Santiago Taboada thanked “the next national president of the PAN” and expressed that those who voted today are satisfied with the result and the commitment to making the best opposition party.
“Today we have national head and party leader for the next three years,” he stated.

The president of the National Organizing Commission for the Election of the National Executive Committee of the PAN (Conacen), Ana Teresa Aranda, confirmed that according to the preliminary results and 91.7 percent of the votes counted.
At a press conference he stated that around 43 percent of the almost 300,000 PAN members voted, although he said that it will not be until Wednesday when the official results of the participation rate will be available.
Regarding the criticism of the candidate Adriana Dávila who questioned the validity of the process, she said that the doors are open to present disagreements in favor of her cause.
Next Wednesday, November 13, the validity of the declaration of address will be formalized and the certificate of majority will also be delivered to the delivery-reception act to the new elected authorities that will begin on November 15.
He stressed that 99.8% of the voting centers were installed, which is a success from an organizational point of view, especially considering the conditions that many states in the country such as Sinaloa and Guerrero are going through in terms of insecurity.
