Singer and lyricist Radek Banga comes with his Christmas song titled Christmas present. This year, the most beautiful gift entered their lives. He and his wife are expecting their first child. This Christmas will be very special for them, so Radek wanted to share this happy news with his fans. He announced the arrival of a new family member movingly in a new video clip, which was filmed in the Christmas House in Karlovy Vary.
“I didn’t like Christmas as a child, unfortunately we didn’t celebrate it much because of my dad,” describes the singer. He experienced domestic violence in his childhood and this was also reflected in how long he perceived this Christmas time. However, 15 years ago, he met his wife Veronika, and thanks to her, he began to perceive Christmas as one of the nicest holidays of the year. “Thanks to Verunca, I realized how much I had been missing for the whole 27 years. Today, on the other hand, it’s something I really look forward to all year. My wife and I bake cookies together, make a wreath and decorate the tree. I enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and comfort, when the whole family gets together, we talk, play games and listen to carols.” adds the singer. The song’s lyrics capture the true essence of Christmas – spending time with those we love. Banga himself conveys a clear message with this song that the true gifts are often not found under the tree, but in the presence of our loved ones.
The interesting thing is that although the musician has been on the scene for almost 30 years, this is only his second Christmas song in his life. Both were created with his current solo project. The last album Nothing is impossible released last fall and with a single Questions he dominated not only social networks. “I’ve had an amazing summer season now. When I hear so many people singing my new songs at concerts, it makes me very happy. It motivates a person to create more. That’s why I thought it was great to share this big news with the fans through a video clip.” he adds enthusiastically. The new song might remind us all what the true magic of Christmas is all about.
