Since the morning hours of November 10th, 2024, the emergency services from the Bergen police headquarters have been in constant operation in the area of Friedensstrasse and the adjacent streets. In total, there were 12 break-ins into the basements of apartment buildings last night. (As of 2:20 p.m.). According to the current state of the investigation, previously unknown perpetrators broke into the apartment buildings by overcoming the entrance doors and then attacked the basement rooms. In most cases there was little or no damage from theft. In two break-ins in the area of Friedensstrasse and Parkstrasse, a total of 3 e-bikes with a total value of 8,700 euros were stolen. In total, the damage from theft amounts to around 9,500 euros and the material damage caused to around 1,300 euros. The Stralsund criminal investigation service was deployed to search for and secure evidence. The police are calling on witnesses who observed anything unusual in the area of the crime scenes mentioned or in the vicinity during the specified period of the crime to contact the Bergen police headquarters on 03838 -8100 or on the Internet www.polizei.mvnet.de to report.
