Police in Amsterdam, Netherlands, broke up a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Dam Square after a court upheld a city-wide ban on demonstrations.
The ban follows violent clashes last week involving Israeli soccer fans, which Amsterdam’s mayor called “anti-Semitic hit-and-run groups.”
Hundreds defied the ban, demanding an end to the violence in Gaza, but police intervened, arresting several protesters.
Authorities have reported a rise in anti-Semitic incidents since the Gaza conflict.
