This Tuesday, the mayor inaugurated Calle 20 of the Carranza III Section neighborhood, which will also benefit the inhabitants of the Manantial, Miguel Alemán and Ampliación Miguel Alemán neighborhoods.

The mayor of Boca del Río cut the inaugural ribbon for the complete rehabilitation of one of the most important and busy avenues in Boca del Río, Calle 20 in the Carranza III Section neighborhood.

With an investment of 26 million pesos, more than 10 square meters were paved with hydraulic cement, a work requested by the inhabitants of this area even before this administration.

«With this work, the quality of life of the residents of the area and of the inhabitants who pass through it will change, one of the most important works of my administration», underlined the mayor.

Within the 2022 work package, it is classified as the most important, because in addition to having roads in perfect condition, flooding is avoided, one of the problems previously encountered.

Among the actions carried out are the modification of sanitary drains, pipes, the construction of manholes, as well as the construction of sanitary registers.

The investment also included the change of drinking water lines, with the replacement of hydraulic pipes, as well as the installation of domestic sockets.

Unánue Abascal underlined that with this hydraulic concrete pavement there will no longer be a need for patching for a period of 25 years, which means that this municipal administration has carried out a long-term job.

New curbs and sidewalks were also created, as well as correct horizontal road signs with traffic island paint, as well as painting on pedestrian crossings and curbs.

The councilor was accompanied by the president of the municipal DIF, Melina Rivera de Unánue, by legislators, councilors and directors of the different areas of the Municipal Council, who once the protocol ceremony was over, visited the great work as well as greeting the residents and traders of the place.

The residents said they were very happy, stating that they will now be able to walk on decent streets and sidewalks, as well as safe for all families.

It should be noted that there are 16 streets and avenues crossed by Calle 20, and the benefit also covers the inhabitants of the Manantial, Miguel Alemán, Ampliación Miguel Alemán, Carranza I and II neighborhoods, who also pass through this point.

Finally, the municipal president, Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, underlined that the Boqueños deserve to live in a dignified way, for this reason and in response to the realization of this type of works thanks to the financial effort of the Municipality of Boca del Río.
