Law enforcement continues to count points. And the number of firearms used in the cities of Nantes. The detonations reported this Sunday, November 10, a little after 3 a.m., in Nantes Nord, increase this figure to 31 in 2024.
Police officers on patrol heard the shots. They were in the Route de la Chapelle area when several shots rang out at the intersection of Rue Samuel-de-Champlain, at a place where they spotted three vehicles and a curious merry-go-round. They didn’t hang around and sped off towards Avenue de la Grive. There, the police heard the sound of new detonations.
Seven shell casings collected and a bad surprise for a local resident
A little later, back in the neighborhood, one of the suspect vehicles was finally checked by the police. One of the occupants was wanted. This forty-year-old was arrested and placed in police custody at the Waldeck-Rousseau police station.
The investigations made it possible to get hold of three 7.62 caliber cartridge cases, on the road to La Chapelle-sur-Erdre. Four others of the same caliber were picked up on avenue de la Grive.
This Sunday morning, a resident of the neighborhood where the shots rang out called the police to report that a bullet had gone through a window of her apartment.
While the day before, a man was injured in the knee in the Bottière district, where the deployment of CRS 82 temporarily restored calm, this new series of shots did not a priori cause any injuries.
